There are many issues confronting people everyday. Many don’t know how to cope with these issues in a Christian way. Support Ministries are nurturing ministries designed to assist with Biblical based support groups.
Faith Force is for adult cancer patients, survivors, family members, and friends. Faith and sharing with other people in the life-experience of cancer are known to be valuable and helpful to those dealing with cancer. Led by a survivor and trained facilitator, the group focuses on Biblical truth as applied to the cancer experience.
Faith Force Cancer Support Group has met since 2005. The group meets in an informal setting, offering comfort, hope, and encouragement in the cancer experience.
Faith Force Cancer Support Group meets most Mondays at 6:30 p.m. New adult attendees are welcome to every meeting. Faith Force also welcomes the opportunity to contact patients, survivors, family members, and friends if we may be of support.
Dealing with Life’s Overwhelming Circumstances
This support group is for men and women ages 18 and up who want to deal with life’s issues through scripture, sharing and prayer. The group will be using “Overcome” by Alex Himara.
Watch Intro Video.
Life’s circumstances can be overwhelming. When people can’t change them, they just learn to survive them. That’s not the life Christ calls us to. While He doesn’t remove our hardships, He works through them and He equips us to rise above them. Using the biblical account of Joseph, this study helps group members move past simply surviving life’s adversities to overcoming betrayal, temptation, bitterness, and hard times. Ideal for small groups.
This will be a 6 week Bible study beginning on January 17, 2017. This will be a “closed” group and preregistration is advised. Please contact Shelly Baker, (309-241-1559 or at firstname.lastname@example.org), to signup or for more information.
